About Born For This Ministries

In late 2024, Jakob Bailey started a small Instagram account dedicated to daily Bible study.  That account was called "Born For This," named after Jakob's love of the story of Esther and what it teaches us.  Over the next few years, God convicted Jakob, Ben, Jay, and Micah to pursue deeper ways to serve the Lord and show others that God has plans for them.  After much prayer, God led these four men to found "Born For This Ministries," an organization dedicated to providing Biblical resources and opportunities to young people across Upstate SC.

- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth to defeat death and sin by suffering and dying on the criminal's cross.  We believe that Jesus was raised from the dead to triumph over the grave and is now seated at the right hand of God. (John 14:6, 1 Corinthians 15:12-34, Acts 7:55-56, Romans 8:34)

- We believe that each and every person is born in the moment and time they are in for a purpose, and that purpose is found in following and serving Jesus. (Esther 4:14, 1 Corinthians 7:24) 

-We believe that all Scripture is sacred, and that everyone should pursue a deeper love for it, as well as a deeper understanding of what is says. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 1:1)

-  We believe as Christians we are called to serve the Church, and that everyone who follows Christ should be involved in the local church. (1 Peter 4:10, Matthew 20:28, Galatians 5:13)

- We believe that God calls us as believers to live in the world, but not as sons and daughters of the world. (John 15:18-19, John 17:14, Romans 12:2)

Starting June 2026, Born For This Ministries will host a monthly worship night for young believers across Upstate SC to come together and worship the Lord.  Born For This Ministries also seeks to provide free Bibles and Bible study resources to everyone our team encounters.  We hope you will join us to spread the truth of the Gospel to those in our communities!
