About Born For This Ministries

Our Story

In late 2024, Jakob Bailey started a small Instagram account dedicated to daily Bible study.  That account was called "Born For This," named after Jakob's love of the story of Esther and what it teaches us.  Over the next few years, God convicted Jakob, Ben, Jay, and Micah to pursue deeper ways to serve the Lord and show others that God has plans for them.  After much prayer, God led these four men to found "Born For This Ministries," an organization dedicated to providing Biblical resources and opportunities to young people across Upstate SC.

Our Beliefs

- We believe that each and every person is born in the moment and time they are in for a purpose, and that purpose is found in following and serving Jesus. (Esther 4:14, 1 Corinthians 7:24) 


-We believe that all Scripture is sacred, and that everyone should pursue a deeper love for it, as well as a deeper understanding of what is says. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 1:1)


-  We believe as Christians we are called to serve the Church, and that everyone who follows Christ should be involved in the local church. (1 Peter 4:10, Matthew 20:28, Galatians 5:13)


- We believe that God calls us as believers to live in the world, but not as sons and daughters of the world. (John 15:18-19, John 17:14, Romans 12:2)

Our Mission

 Born For This Ministries exists to ENGAGE young people across Upstate SC who have a hunger for God's Word, EQUIP the local body of Christ with tools to continue growing in faith, and EDIFY our community with sound Biblical worship, resources, and teaching.



WORSHIP NIGHTS Starting in June 2026, Born For This Ministries will host a monthly worship night where young people across the Upstate will join together to worship, pray, fellowship, hear Biblical teaching, and share testimony of what the Lord has done and is still doing! - Hebrews 10:24
